COMPUTER CENTRE

NIIFT possess a well structured Computer Centre having all the latest infrastructure. To keep pace with the latest developments in the field of design and planning, NIIFT has acquired the upgraded version (7.0) of CAD with state-of-the art hardware including Digitiser and Plotter from TUKA Tech Inc., USA.. |
The institute has a well equipped computer centre having facilities of Pentium Pro and Pentlurn MMX Pro Systems, an Apple Machintosh Power PC and additional Hardware such as Art Pad, Scanners and Laser Printers. CAD facilities include software from Tuka Tech Inc., U.S.A. digitiser and 36' Plotter. The computer centre has its own resource centre which has the latest software packages developed inhouse, CD ROM Titles, Books, Magazines and journals.
STUDIOS & LABORATORIES
The institute is equipped with workshops for
Garment's construction, Draping, Pattern making, Fashion art
and illustration, sketching and Apple Macintosh Computer
Laboratory and a skilled work force to assist design and
technology students in their learning. All these studios are
equipped to handle professional work in addition to meeting
training needs. In addition NIIFT's resource centre and
library houses over a large collection of books, journals,
traditional and contemporary textile swatches, embellishments
and accessories.
NIIFT BUS SERVICES
NIIFT also provides bus service to students, to and from the institute on nominal monthly charges.
HOSTEL
NIIFT provides excellent residential accommodation to outstation girl students of the institute at its own hostel, built and located in the immediate vicinity of the institute campus at Mohali.
The hostel is well equipped with modern amenities and provides a mess service.
